Dr. G. S. Chandrashekar did his MBBS from Bellary Medical College, Gulbarga University (1988) and MD from Mysore Medical College, Mysore University (1991). He has worked as Specialist and Senior Specialist in Government District Hospital, Udupi for 15 years from July 1991.

Dr. G. S. Chandrashekar is the founder of 200 bedded Super Specialty Hospital – Adarsha Hospital, Udupi and is working as Medical Director and Senior Consultant Physician round the clock. He has conducted more than 1000 rural health camps with free blood test like RBS & Lipids, ECHO and ECG etc. his activities involve educating patients through small handbooks on common diseases like Diabetes Mellitus, Heart Attack, common infectious epidemics like Malaria, Dengue, Leptospira etc., regularly participating for Phone in Program in local TV channels, providing free health services for the poor patients through Adarsha Charitable trust, giving financial support to the poor students and donation to the society for the developmental works.

He is the Director of Adarsha Specialty Chemicals, Tumkur, Director of Adarsha Global Build Project Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore and Immediate Past Chairman of API Udupi Chapter. He is also the Secretary of Pooorna Prajna Degree College and MBA College, Udupi.
